Journal Entry - Day 99 After Outbreak
Mon, 18 Aug 2025 06:04:07 +0000
I stayed long enough to burn the bodies. If you don't, they come back. And it's not them anymore–it's something else.
The red paint's starting to fade from my arms. I need to find more soon. People think it's a war mark, and maybe it is now, but it started as a reminder. Red for blood. Blood for everyone I couldn't save. I keep count.
Rations are down to two cans of beans, one protein bar, and whatever rainwater I can collect in my tarp. I've got one clip left for the rifle. If I can make it another forty miles east, there's a supply cache I left last month. If it's still there, I might get through the next week.

Journal Entry - Day 147 After Outbreak
Mon, 18 Aug 2025 05:58:48 +0000
I don't know who it belonged to, but I'll put it to good use. And if they're out there somewhere maybe they'll see it in my hands and know it didn't end up in the wrong ones.
End entry.

Journal Entry -- 16 August
Sat, 16 Aug 2025 09:42:57 +0000
The air still reeks of gunpowder and decay. I can't tell if the smell is clinging to my clothes or if it's just burned into my memory now. After the industrial complex incident–after the sprint through rusted corridors and the close call with those twitching freaks–I stumbled into a maintenance wing. Most of the place was gutted, wires hanging like vines, concrete walls stained with things I didn't want to identify.
But then I found it. A locker room. Intact. And tucked behind a steel door with a busted keypad was a shower stall. I didn't expect it to work. I just stood there staring at the nozzle, half expecting it to cough out dust or blood. But when I twisted the valve, water burst out–cold, clean, and real.
I stepped in fully clothed. Didn't care. The water soaked through my shirt, plastered it to my skin, and for the first time in days, I felt human again. I leaned into the stream, let it pound against my shoulders, my neck, my face. The red paint streaks on my arms and thighs bled into the drain. I watched them swirl away like ghosts.
I stayed there longer than I should've. Arms behind my head, eyes closed, trying to forget the sound of clicking jaws and the smell of rot. Just the hiss of water and the rhythm of my own breathing.
It didn't fix anything. But it reminded me I'm still alive.

The War of the World RPG
Mon, 28 Jul 2025 05:28:17 +0000
I've recently read The War of the World, written by H.G. Wells in 1898. I thought it had a very interesting Martian invasion concept. It would be quite exciting to play as a role-playing game. So I have started to build this RPG world based on the original book.

Introducing Captain Red Flare
Mon, 28 Jul 2025 05:28:20 +0000
My son gotten a Captain Red Flare flying robot toy (see attached photo) for his birthday. So I decided to create a mecha version for our RPG game, using Simon and Lief Robot Builder rules.

After designing the robot on the Cyberoid Design Sheet, I used SketchUp to put together the 3D model shown above. It's is now a sample robot within the rule book. I hope you enjoy it.

World of Tepokt
Mon, 28 Jul 2025 05:28:14 +0000
While on a plane ride, I read a science fiction short-story titled, "Exile", written by Horace Brown Fyfe. In this short story, Mr. Fyfe, portrayed an alien society whose space exploration technology was limited due to it's planet being surrounded by space debris. I thought that the concept is extremely interesting and have decided to write a Cyno's Role-Play supplement based on the world that Mr. Fyfe described. I titled this supplement the World of Tepokt. I hope you enjoy building a RPG campaign around it.
